Our Western Tour

After New Years day everyone was still enjoying some time
off work and school. My dad has always talked about taking
us all out to fish springs. So Early Monday morning we got
up loaded into trucks and out we went. It was A LOT further
out there then I had thought. It was a good ride seeing places
most of us never had!

We were also lucky enough to see some Wild Horses!
Kaleb thought that was pretty cool! They were really
beautiful horses!

All along the was we were on the Pony Express Trail. Sam
told us stories about his Great Great Grandpa who was a
Pony Express Rider. It was a really pretty and clear day
out on the desert!

So glad that we all were able to have a fun drive around
western Juab County and spend some good time with
the family!

New Years Eve

New Years eve was such a fun night! My dad
cooked up some awesome Prime Rib and we
had lots of other good foods to! We ate out
in my dads garage, played Just Dance for hours
and still stayed up to watch the ball drop and
Kevin ask a pretty amazing girl to be his wife!

Remembering our December

December is always a very busy month at our home as I am
sure it is at everyone's. Here comes a huge fun post. ENJOY!!!

The kids put together their very first Ginger Bread House!
They did it all by themselves!

Two of us celebrate our birthdays in December! I (Marcy)
turned....30!! Yes I still have to take a big breath when I
say it! I just am not ready to grow up!
Kasey also celebrates his Birthday in December! This year
he turned 8! With his birthday being during the Christmas
break we always do his birthday party with his friends
before school gets out. He wanted minute to win it games
again this year! It was so much fun and his friends were
all very good!

For our Ward Christmas Party this year it was based
on a Spanish theme. The Primary kids all dressed up
like shepherds and angels and sang Silent Night in
Spanish. We hat pinyata's and ate Tamale's for dinner.
It was a really fun night!

On Christmas Eve we went to the traditional party at
Mel and Kris' ward. They had an awesome program and
the kids got to see Santa one last time. Hadley was so funny
she did not want anything to do with him!

Christmas was good at our house this year! The kids got
what they wanted and were so happy! I love watching
the magic in their eyes on Christmas morning!

There is hardly any snow on the mountain right now but
we took advantage of what little there was and used the
kids new snow boards!

On the day after Christmas we celebrated Kasey's 8th
birthday! So crazy how fast he is growing up! He is such
a good kid and an important part to our family!

Our Dancing Star!

Laylee had her very first Dance Recital this year! She
did such a great job for only being 2! It is so fun to
watch her dance! She loves every minute of it!

Thankful for November 2011

now that we have another missionary out so she can keep
caught up along with so many others!

Kaylee loved swinging in the tire swing at Great
Grandma Worwood's home! When I was a little girl (Marcy)
it was my favorite thing to sit in there and have my grandpa
push me!

Sister Katie Curtis

Katie will be serving for the next 18 months in
Berlin Germany. We are so excited for her. We will
all miss her like crazy, especially the boys, but we know
that she is doing the right thing!

The boys LOVE their Auntie Katie! They will be so grown

Halloween 2011

We LOVE Halloween at our house! This year we had a
surprise left on our front porch! This HUGE pumpkin!
The kids were so excited about this. It took us a while
to figure out where it came from but we did!
THANKS SAMANTHA!!

The kids all looked so awesome in their costumes!
Kaleb was an evil Jester, Kasey was Frankenstein,
Karson was a Ninja, and Kaylee was a Pirate Princess.

The kids love carving pumpkins to! Kaylee loves to gut
them more ;)

We had a great Halloween this year!

Sam's deer

Sam had a successful hunting season this
year! His deer wasn't huge, but the kids
sure think it is!

Kaleb can't wait till he can hunt deer. He recently
got his blue card and so it won't be long! Hunting
is always a family outing for us. We love getting
our kids in the outdoors.

Kaylee loved the deer! She didn't want to let it go.

Fall Fishing

We took some time out of football to do a
little fishing! We have gone a couple times
and have caught some awesome fish!

Our boys love fishing and are getting pretty good at
getting their own poles ready! Hopefully we can make it
up there once more before winter sets in!

Fun Colors of Fall!

We love our mountains in the fall time! There
are so many beautiful colors and it makes
everything look so beautiful! Lots of fun little snap
shots get taken during this season!

One Saturday afternoon we took a drive on the
4 wheelers on the North Skyline Drive. Sam's parents
followed us in the jeep!

Having our family pictures taken is one thing
that I (marcy) make sure happens at least
once a year! My kids change so much for
each one!

This year we headed up to the families
property and had my little sister Kym
push the camera button! I edited them all
and well...here is some of them! We had
over 200 to choose from!

Junior Hawk Cheer!

We signed Kaylee up for the Lil' Cheer group this year,
sponsored my the North Sanpete High Cheerleaders. We
were a little worried she might be too small, but she LOVED
every minute of it! She loved saying "Rolling with the white"
and rolling her hips! She did a great job!

SANPETE COUNTY FAIR!!

Our Family LOVES the county fair! We make
sure we are a part of it some way! This year
the boys all drew pictures, and built legos
to enter into the fair! They earned a little
cash for their BLUE ribbon's!

Kaylee was in the parade with her dance
group! She was so excited to be on a
float! She loves watching the Queen's
or as she says "Princesses" and I think
she thought she would be like one if
she got to be in it!

Below is her dance group! She loves every minute
of dancing and her awesome dance teacher Brittany!
Kaylee is kind of hidden. She is right in the front dead
center!

She kept waving at us and saying "hi daddy" She is so fun!

Then of course there is the sheep riding! The boys
absolutely LOVE this!
Kaleb did a good job riding! This will be the last sheep
ride for him...He is now to big! (makes me sad)

Kasey thinks he is pretty good at this sheep riding stuff!
But I think his sheep got the best of him this year! But
he still loved every minute of it!

And now there is Karson...Oh man I LOVE his
pictures! Karson is always SO happy and not scared
of very much!

But I think the picture below may have put a little
fear of Sheep riding in his eyes!

I think that the Fair Board President was a little worried
about him...its ok Wade...he is tough!

All the boys got a shirt with this on it!

We had a great time and made a lot of fun
family memories this year at the fair!

Swimming

We took the kids to one last swimming
trip before our summer ended! The kids
love the Manti Pool! So we dropped off
the kids fair exhibits and headed to the
pool!

Kaylee loves the water!!! It's almost a
little scary how comfortable she is
with it! We put her in a life jacket just
to be safe! She loved the slide! She went
down with both mom and dad many
times!

Karson is not a water kid! This is one of the very FEW
things he is scared of! He stays right on the edge, he
won't go down the slide, or even over in the whirl pool!
He is getting better but likes to be by himself for
the most part!

Kasey is getting more use to the water! He was
pretty scared at first to go down the slide...but
once he went he wouldn't stop!

Kaleb was out and dressed before I got
a fun picture of him! He has turned into
a good little swimmer. He use to not even
get his feet wet, but now he just goes
everywhere in the water!

The kids love swimming! It's kind of sad to see the
summer end!

School Days....

This summer went by so fast, and I honestly
can say I really don't like it when my kids
go back to school. It just means they are
growing up....and I am getting older!

Kaleb is in 4th grade this year. Which I
still think is a lie, he is still my little man!
His teacher is Mr Howard and he is super
excited to learn Utah History! He loves
riding his bike to school with our
cute neighbor boy Trevor. Kaleb didn't
want me to walk him in this year for the
first time! :( He is growing up!

Kasey is in the 2nd grade and his teacher
is Mrs. Sorenson! He was pretty worried
about this year because almost all his
friends are in the other class! His first day
was a little rough or as he said, "the worst
day of my life!" But it seems to be getting
better. He is pretty smart and loves to
read! He is the only one I don't have to
threaten to do their homework!

Kaylee started dancing this year from
Brittany Dykes who owns Just Dance.
She was so excited to start and did an
awesome job.

and finally Karson...He is our big
Kindergartner this year! He is so excited
to be going to school! On his first day we
were walking in and this cute little girl
was in front of us. He looked at me and
said...mom is she in my class... I told him
she probably was...and he says "good!
cause she is CUTE!" What a boy!

So they are all off and running and growing!
I love my kids so much! Here is to a great
year of learning new things, making new
friends, and hopefully staying out of
trouble!

Summer is coming to an end....

We have had a lot of fun this summer and as it comes to
an end we are still finding a few things to do! The pictures
are not in order but .......

My sister in law Amy showed us this awesome Splash Pad
in Spanish Fork! It is so much fun for the kids! Below is
Kaylee and Sarah enjoying the water! Kaylee and mom met
Amy and Sarah one afternoon for lunch at Cafe Rio and
some fun at the Splash Pad! The next week (above) we went
and did some school shopping and so we stopped with
Aunt Katie and played some more!

Sam checked off another goal of his this summer! He ran
the 10K@10K! He did and awesome job! There were almost
200 runners and he placed 55th! His time was one hour and
2 seconds! He wishes now he would have looked up and seen
the timer! That time was really pretty good for him! We
are so proud of him! Next year its going under an hour!

We haven't done as much fishing this summer due to
the slow snow melt! But when we have gone we have
had a lot of fun, seen lots of elk, and caught some
fish!

With the hunts coming up it time for scouting out those
big bulls and bucks! So we have been out doing a little
4-wheeling! One of our families favorite places to be is
in the outdoors! And our favorite time of the year to do
just that is right around the corner!

What a great summer our family has had!

Boating on Electric

To wrap up our month on July we took a little boating trip
to Electric Lake! Aunt Laura and Uncle Brice brought their
boat up and took us all for a good ride!

I (Marcy) had never been out on a boat...along with all our
kids. I must admit I was nervous and Laura thought that
was great because she says she has never seen me out
of my comfort zone!

When the kids weren't on the boat they were fishing and
playing in the water! Karson didn't ride on the boat with
us, he always went with others so I didn't get many
pictures of him!

Kaleb and Kasey, with a lot of force, rode on the tube
behind the boat with Aunt Laura! I think after all the fear
finally left them they really enjoyed it! Sam did an awesome
job on the tube! It took a lot for Brice to finally throw him
off!
We had such a fun day! I think next time I may venture out
on to the tube! Thanks Brice and Laura!

24th of July

I love the 24th of July! Celebrating the great State
of Utah with lots of fun things! We were able to just
stay in Fairview and really enjoy all the fun things our
pioneer day's celebration has to offer!

The kids went to the Ice Breaker were they were able
to play lots of fun games....for FREE...even better! They
had a pie eating contest, watermelon, and so much more!

The kids decorated their bikes for the Kids Parade and
also participated in the Kids Rodeo. All the boys ran in
the Fun Run! Kaleb, Kasey and Karson ran the mile kids
run and Sam ran the 5K! There was a parade, family BBQ,
old fashioned games, and we wrapped it all up with
fireworks!

Kaylee is still kind of young to participate in most
of the activities but she still has fun! Her favorite part is
all the "Princesses" in the parades! She loves the Queens!
And ever since the Kids Rodeo Kaylee can't wait to ride a
sheep!

Karson was so excited to ride a sheep at the Kids Rodeo!
When he was in the chute getting on Sam told him not to
let go...and he didn't! He rode that sheep right back into
the pen! It was pretty cute! He got a 2 dollar bill for his
ride Karson loved the kids parade and was able to ride
with his best friend Jax! He even ran the fun run and
wasn't even the last one to finish!

Kasey had an awesome 24th! Kasey won the pie eating
contest with his group! At the kids rodeo Kasey took third
in the sheep riding and first in the Stick Horse Race. He
got a trophy and two 2 dollar bills! Kasey ran an awesome
race in the fun run! He placed 1st in his age group and
fourth overall! He was so proud of himself!

Kaleb had a good week to! After A LOT of pushing, Kaleb
rode his very first steer! He was a little nervous...especially
when he seen the horns! He did great taking 3rd place! His
dad was so excited to be back behind a bull chute putting his
son on! We are so proud of Kaleb for facing his fear and doing
such a great job! Then Kaleb ran an awesome race to!

The boys were excited to show off all their winnings! We
had such a great Pioneer Days Celebration and we are all
looking forward to next year!

UTE STAMPEDE!!!

We love this time of year! The Ute Stampede
is something my kids and mostly me look
forward to every summer!

Kaylee was in the Baby Contest! The theme
this year was my favorite American Hero!
The night before I could not find anything
to dress her up in! Her very talented father
got out the sewing machine and made her
this super cute Sacajawea outfit!

She was so cute and took 2nd in her age division!

The rodeo is always great! I love the way they
bring the flag in! It brings back so many memories!
When Kaleb was little for months after the Stampede
he would put his superman cape on and hold a blanket
in his underwear and jump off the coach singing Proud
To Be An American!

The kids still love the carnival!

Then there is the parades! The kids get SO much
candy! This year was so fun cause every time a
royalty would come by Kaylee would wave, jump
up and down, and say "Hi Princess!" She loves
princesses!

The kids were super excited to see Mater! He
made his appearance at the Ute Stampede!

Now that the Ute Stampede is over we know that
our summer is coming to a close! But we sure
can't wait till next year!

Boulder Mountain Rain and Shine

We try every year to take the family
down to the Boulder Mountain for
some camping and fishing! This year
we went a day earlier then the
Worwood's and Thatcher's! We took
Grandpa and Grandma Curt with us
and Aunt Katie! We had so much fun!
It rained.....A LOT...it was hot...it was
just a good time!

Katie was the brave one and rode with Kaleb
on his four wheeler! It was slick in some spots
and they actually slid backward/sideways down
a hill. Kaleb jumped off and made Katie drive the
rest of the way! But eventually he took back over
and did awesome!

The next we stopped at Bob's hole (puddle). I
was pretty sure my brother Mike was up in the
night saying there was fish in here! But Kasey,
Kevin, Kymberly, and Tacia all proved us wrong!

Dad caught a fish on our last day at Solitaire Lake!

Oh and did I mention it rained.... A LOT!!!! We
really weren't prepared for the huge rain storm
that soaked us all! When we got up to Donkey
we had to build a fire and dry out...just in time
for it to rain again!

No rain jackets....but Karson sure
loved his garbage bag!

4th of July

We love July at our house! Lots of fun celebrations
and parties. On Saturday the 1st Nephi had their
celebration so we spent that day with the
Worwood's and the Thatchers! We took the
kids to the park for the games then it was back
to grandpa's for a BBQ and water games!

On Monday the 4th we added something new to
our 4th of July! We went and watched the parade
in Mt Pleasant with Sam's family!

I made TuTu's for the little girls! I think they

Then we watched Mt Pleasant's Fireworks! It rained
a little on us but they were so awesome!

Katie had recently returned from China and
so she went with us! It was a good night!

What a way to kick off the month of July!

Fairview Waterfall

Every year we take our family and hike up to see
the run off in Fairview Canyon and go to this
waterfall. We are usually able to go on Memorial
day but due to the crazy long winter it was early
June before we could make it!

Jakes Day 2011

The kids look forward to this day every
year! Grandpa Worwood with the help
of his NWTF committee put together a day
just for kids! They shoot bows, guns, climb
the rock wall, learn about the outdoors
and so much more! They all LOVE
JAKES DAY!

well she needed a little help but was
so happy!

Karson hates heights! I must admit
this is one of the only things he is
scared of!

Kasey says his favorite thing is climbing
the wall!

Uncle Kevin is suposse to be "helping" the kids
shoot bows...It must be a fun day for "Big" kids
too!

This year Kaleb finally climbed
the whole way to the top! He

Fairview Dance Review

It has come and gone again! The annual Fairview
Elementary School Dance Review! It is so fun
to go and watch all the cute kids show off their
dancing skills!

Kasey this year danced to Fishing in the Dark!
He did a really good job. He was not real sure
about dancing without any shoes but he
did!

Kaleb jumped rope and I am not sure what
their song was! Sam says it's the old hamburger
helper theme song??? Kaleb did a good job! He
hates jumping rope, but he sure tried hard!

Little Miss Kaylee

Kaylee has so many different personalities
and it has been SO different having a girl
in out house! She changes her clothes
at least a dozen times a day, she has to
pick her clothes, shoes, etc out for the day
and if you don't let her, she throws a fit!
She is 100% the queen of this house! She

For Kaleb's Birthday all he wanted was
a puppy! And it may have been a little
late but he got one.

He picked her out and named her and
everything. He is doing really good
with her and we usually don't even
have to remind him to take care of
her!

He is pretty happy!

her from a distance!

Easter 2011

I love holiday's because of all the family time
and fun that we get to have!

The kids went to 3 Easter Egg Hunts this year!

my sister Kym, Kevin's Girlfriend Tacia, my mom,
Kyle's girlfriend Kiesha, and myself......the boys
should run!

We had so much fun!

Kaleb's Birthday!

I can hardly believe Kaleb is 9 already!
He is such a good kid and we love him so much!
Time has gone by so fast and he is just growing
up to be a great young man!

For his birthday he wanted a new fishing pole
a baseball bat, and a new puppy! He got
everything he wanted! His puppy comes later
but he got his collar and leash! He can't wait!

Kaleb had a few of his friends over for pizza
and a movie...all though the movie didn't last
to long they just wanted to play outside! This
group of boys was a lot of fun! He has some
great friends!

State Wrestling

We finally made it to our final wrestling tournament
of the season! State this year was held in Salina
and man there sure were some tough kids there!

Below is Kasey! He has wrestled this kid before
and they are a close match! Kasey lost him first
match to a kid from Emery who has taken
first at State the last two years but only by
one point! He then won his next three matches
and finally met up with a boy from Juab who
is a really good little wrestler! Kasey lost a tough
well wrestled match! Kasey ended up taking 4th
at State! What an accomplishment!

Kaleb had some really tough kids! Kaleb just
started wrestling tough and hard towards the end
of the season! Hopefully next year He can start off
strong! Kaleb lost his first match by one point and
then was pinned in his second match! We are so
of Kaleb! He is always a good sport no matter what
happens!

We really aren't sure what Karson showed up to
do at this tournament! He usually goes out there
and wrestles tough and crazy but not today! He
pretty much was just tired and in his words...
"he just wanted a cookie!"

Spring Break 2011

For the kids Spring Break we decided
to take our very first "Family Vacation"
On Thursday we left early in the morning
for the long drive to Bryce Canyon.

One of our many "I need to pee" breaks
happened at Big Rock Candy Mountain.
The kids were a little bummed that it
really wasn't a mountain of candy!

The boys were really glad to get out of the
Tahoe and do some hiking. Even thought it was
a little chilly!

They made sure to hang on to their hats when
the big gusts of wind came by!

There was only one really short hike open due
to the snow they still had and the mud from it
melting!We didn't go all the way down in but
far enough!

As we left Bryce Canyon we had to stop at the
famous picture spot!

Park on the second day!

Kaylee hated the tunnel...she cried the whole
way through and yelled "SCARY!!"

At the last stop in Zion's Canyon this chipmunk
wanted the boys to feed it..... they had seen the
signs that said if they did it was a $100 fine so
they made sure not to drop anything....

So it decided to go to Sam. The kids thought it
would climb up his leg!

On Day 3 we headed for the long
trek back to Fairview. We made many
stops along our way! We had so much fun
on our trip and the kids are already
planning the next one!

One more tournament post before the boys wrestle
at their state tournament on April 9th in Salina!
The boys are doing good and trying hard to do their
very best!

Kaleb had some tough kids again at this tournament
but did really good with them. I think the word
"Aggression" finally might be kicking in!

Pinewood Derby

Kaleb loves scouts and looks forward
to the pinewood derby! He had a hard
time deciding how to paint his car! He
finally decided on the "General Lee"!

Kaleb's car was awesome! He took 1st in 3 of his
4 heats! I loved this picture of the boys waiting

Karson our little leprechaun in 5! I can hardly
believe it! He had a great birthday! We had
a little party with a couple of the kids from his
preschool class and primary class! I must say
it was the calmest most fun "friend birthday
party" I have ever done!

Even little Kaylee has her own Team Takedown
outfit! I made her a blue and orange TuTu and
matching bows and a shirt! She is such a trooper
to go sit through all these tournaments for
her brothers! Good thing the coaches little boy
and her get along!

Even though the picture is a little dark...it looks
so awesome to look down and see our team all
together in their orange and blue warming up!

Karson has finally caught on to wrestling and
what he is suppose to do!

Kasey is going to be a lot like his Uncle Kevin,
and the cradle is his favorite move!

Kaylee is such a mother and has to have
a baby doll with her most of the time. I
caught her the other day reading
to her baby!

Kaylee is so crazy! On Valentines day we went
to Prove and took the kids to Chuck O Rama!
Kaylee was not into eating but would sit on
the back of the seats and show off! She is crazy!

Wrestling in South Sevier

We had a great tournament this past weekend!
Our boys have started wrestling for a team in
Ephraim......TEAM TAKEDOWN!

They love being part of a team that all sits together,
cheers for each other, and so much more! It's like
a second family and it has been so good!

Kaleb has come such a long way with this team!
He actually wants to wrestle and he is trying!

We had one very happy boy when he won his
matches! Kaleb tied for 1st place!

Kasey is still doing very well but is starting to
meet up with some kids who are a little tougher
for him!

Kasey took second at this tournament. He only
lost his last match by one point!

Karson is so much fun still! He is learning and
doing much better but no matter what everyone
still notices his big ol' smile!

Karson also took a silver medal this day!

Bald Eagle Viewing Day

Every winter there seams to be several Bald Eagles
that make beautiful Sanpete County their winter
home. The Division of Wildlife set up a day where
we were able to go out to the Fish Hatchery in
Ft. Green and then drive around spots in Sanpete
to see the nesting of several eagles!

The kids loved the fish hatchery!

The division guy gave each of the kids a handful
of fish food to toss into the fish! At first the fish
weren't really showing any excitement then all
of the sudden they were flipping out of the water!

The boys noticed the BIG rainbows were in with
the Albino's

We were able to see around 12-15 Bald Eagles!

It was a fun day with our family!

She'll bring honor to us all....

Aunt Katie has gone and left us to China!

The last few weeks the kids have been dreading February 9th
and yet is still came! Katie decided a while ago to go to China
and teach English through a program at BYU! The boys have
tried their very hardest to change her mind, but Tuesday night
Katie cam to the house to say goodbye! I am not sure who was
having the hardest time that night, Katie, Sam, Me or Kaleb!
Of course many tears flowed but I do believe Kaleb had us all
beat! He I think will have the hardest time at our house! Even
though that as I write this, the tears are flowing!

Katie is such an amazing person, sister, friend and aunt.
The next five months will defiantly be long for us with
out her here! We started a countdown when she left and
it said 135 days....I thought Kaleb was going to choke...but
today it already says 134!

So good news for everyone else....we will be keeping up a lot
better on our blog so she can keep up on us!

We love you Katie, our little Mulon!

I can hardly believe that Kaylee is already two!
She is growing up so fast and is such a blessing
to our family.

The night before her birthday we rented a movie
and let all the kids bring their blankets and pillows
into the front room...we popped some pop corn and
had some fun! Kaylee is always a show off for the
camera especially late at night.

We made pancakes for breakfast and her brothers
had to have candles in her pancakes. She thought
she was pretty special. She walked around all
morning singing "happy birthday to me."

We were able to have a big party in Nephi
that night because Kevin's girl friend Tacia's
Birthday is the day after Kaylee's

Although Tacia's cake put off a little more smoke
then Kaylee's! It's a good thing grandpa took the
batteries out of the smoke detector!

Grandma bought Kaylee her Princess Cake!
She was so excited to have her own cake. Whenever
we would ask her what she wanted for her birthday
she would always say "Birthday Cake"

Of course being the only girl on the Worwood side
she is defiantly the princess!

She got a fur real puppy and cute spring outfit
from grandpa, grandma, Kym, Kyle, & Kevin, a
Princess coloring book with markers from Uncle Mike
Aunt Kensey and Waylon, and she got 3 tutu's, a dress,
some bracelets, and a pink bike from mom, dad, and her
brothers!

Because Grandpa Curtis was working
on Saturday we decided to have another
little party for Kaylee with the Curtis'
during the Superbowl!

Her brothers gave her a Tinkerbell outfit, and
grandpa, grandma, and Katie gave her a baby doll!

We are so blessed to have a little princess in our
home! Happy 2nd Birthday Princess Kaylee!

Ice Fishing....Skating!

Sam took the boys with him to 9 Mile to do a
little ice fishing. He said the ice was so clear
and neat! They got all their holes drilled and
the fishing was SLOW but the ice was slick!

The kids ended up skating around on their
tackle boxes and tummies. They didn't ever
catch a fish but they sure had fun!

Kaleb said the only thing he didn't like was
the sound of the ice popping.

Before Katie left for China we had a family dinner.
It was such a nice day outside that we were able
to spend some time out doors!

I (marcy) had made Kaylee a tutu and she is very
obsessed with it. I made it to match her shirts that
says "My Aunt Is My BFF" I even made her
matching bows for her hair. It was so cute to
watch her show it all off. She has to wear one
almost everyday!

Kaylee, Cassidy(Julene's Daughter), and Grandpa
Russon loved sitting on the swing in the sunshine,
then this cat showed up. Kaylee likes animals...but
from a distance!

It is so much fun having a girl to make
these cute things for....not sure I could
get my boys to wear them.....well maybe
Karson.....

It's that time of year again and the boys are all
excited! (even Kaleb:/) We headed to Juab
for the first tournament of the year and the boys did
pretty good with no practice since April of last
year unless you count the non stop house wrestling
at home!

RECIPE'S

I have had a lot of people ask me for some of my recipe's lately so I thought I would share with everyone. I think I might post more....maybe try one a week or something! I hope you all enjoy!

Cafe Rio

CAFE RIO SWEET PORK

- 2lbs. boneless pork rib meat
- 3 cans Coke(not diet)
- 1 & 1/4 cup brown sugar
-1/4 cup water
- 1 can sliced green chilies
- 3/4 can enchilada sauce
- dash of garlic salt

Put pork in a heavy duty Ziploc bag to marinade. Add about a can and a half of coke and about 1/4 cup brown sugar. Marinade for a few hours or overnight. Drain marinade and put pork, 1/2 can coke, water, and garlic salt in a crock pot on high for about 3-4 hours or until it shreds easily, but don't let it get to dry. Remove pork from crock pot and drain any liquid left in pot. Shred pork in food processor or blender, blend 1/2 can coke, chilies, enchilada sauce and remaining brown sugar. If it looks to thick, add a little more coke. Put shredded pork and sauce in crock pot and cook on low for 2 hours.

CAFE RIO CILANTRO RANCH

-1 packet traditional ranch powder (not buttermilk)
- 1 cup mayo
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tomatillos, remove husk, dice
- 1/2 bunch of fresh cilantro
- 1 clove garlic
- juice of 1 lime
- 1 jalapeno (take seeds out so not too spicy)

Mix all ingredients together in a blender and chill.

CAFE RIO BLACK BEANS

-2 Tbs olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 & 1/3 cup tomato juice
- 1 & 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbs fresh chopped cilantro

In a non stick skillet, cook garlic, and cumin in olive oil over medium heat until you can smell it. Add beans, tomato juice, and salt. Continually stir until heated through. Just before serving stir in the cilantro.

CAFE RIO CILANTRO-LIME RICE

- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 1 tsp. butter
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp fresh lime juice
- 1 can (15 oz.) chicken broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tbs fresh lime juice
- 2 tsp sugar
- 3 Tbs fresh chopped cilantro

In a saucepan combine rice, butter, garlic, 1 tsp of lime juice, chicken broth, and water. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook on low for 15 to 20 minutes until rice is tender. Remove from heat. In a small bowl mix remaining lime juice, sugar, and cilantro. Pour over hot rice and mix.

CAFE RIO'S CILANTRO-LIME VINAIGRETTE

- 2 tomatillos
- 1/2 bunch cilantro
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 Tbs diced jalapeno
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1 Tbs sugar
- 1 cup KRAFT Balsamic Vinaigrette

In a food processor or blender, combine tomatillos, cilantro, garlic, jalapeno, lime juice, and sugar. After it is all blended up well combine with balsamic vinaigrette in an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. (better if left over night)

CAFE RIO BURRITO
Sauce:
1 small can diced chilies
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tsp. salt
1 (7 oz) can of Embassa Salsa Verde
2 tsp. sugar
*Combine all ingredients in small sauce pan. Boil then reduce heat and let simmer for at least 20 minutes. Serve warm
Burrito:
1 large tortilla shell
1 large scoop beans (above)
1 large scoop rice (above)
1 large scoop pork (above)
Shredded Monterrey Jack Cheese
*Roll up rice, beans, pork & cheese in shell. Slather with a big ladle full of enchilada sauce and top cheese. Bake at 450 until melted. Top with lettuce, diced onion, tomato's, cilantro, sour cream, and guacamole.

CAFE RIO SWEET PORK SALAD

6 lrg tortillas
Cafe Rio Rice
Cafe Rio Sweet Pork
Shredded Mexican blend cheese
Cafe Rio Black Beans
Lettuce
Diced tomato, onion, & cilantro
guacamole
sour cream
tortilla strips
Parmesan cheese
Cafe Rio Ranch

Corn Cracker Dip

Mix together:

2 cans mexi corn
1 cup mayo (not miracle whip)
1 cup sour cream
3 cup Mexican Mixture Shredded Cheese
1 can diced green chilies
1/2 can chopped jalapenos

add garlic salt, pepper, and salt to taste.

Chill

Orange Cream Jello

Mix together:
1 large cook and serve lemon pudding, prepare as directed.
1 large orange jello, prepare as directed
Pour into glass casserole dish
Chill in fridge for 4 hours

Mix together well:
1 small instant lemon pudding, 1 cup milk, 8 oz. of cool whip, and 1.2 cup of powdered sugar.

Then spread on top of prior mixture and let set again.

Top with mandarin oranges before serving!

Sweet and Sour Chicken

-chicken breast tenders
-1/2 tsp garlic salt
-cornstarch
-1 egg, beaten with 1 Tbs water
-1 cup sugar
-1/3 cup vinegar
-1/3 cup ketchup
-1/4 cup ckn. broth
-1 tsp. salt
-2 Tbs Soy Sauce

Cut chicken into pieces and sprinkle with garlic salt. Let sit of half an hour. Dip chicken in cornstarch and then into beaten egg. Fry in hot oil until brown. Place in casserole dish. Combine sugar, vinegar, ketchup, ckn broth, salt, and soy sauce. Microwave for 5 minutes stirring mixture halfway through. Pour over chicken and bake uncovered at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes until sauce thickens! Serve over Rice!

This may be a long post but I decided
to do it all at once! So here is to our
December 2010!

We have gotten so much snow in December! It

is hard to get anywhere and really even play in

it! Yet the kids made trails all around the yard

to make it possible!

On Christmas Eve we were able to have Sams

family all over for dinner before the annual

Christmas Eve Program. Everyone made it

but Ben and his family!

...and of course what is Christmas Eve without

the jolly old man himself!

Then it was home so Santa could tip his sleigh

over in our living room!

And it wouldn't be Christmas time without

one time through the lights at the Old Mill Park!

We love the month of December! Lots of fun, and

family time. What a great 2010 we had!

We hope 2011 is even better!

Traditions!

Family Traditions!

"Grandma Curt always knew how to make everything
work, and make everyone happy!" Sam says this
every year around Christmas Time!

Many years ago she would have Santa come on
Thanksgiving to give each of the kids a little something
to get them by until Christmas. Then one year Sam's
brother Ben was Santa in a school play and so she
wanted him to be Santa at the family party. And
so Ben wouldn't feel left out each kid gave him a gift
in return for their own, and every year after the grand kids
got to be Santa.

Uncle Randy, the oldest, has kept this going since
Grandma Curt passed away about 14 years ago.
Every year each of the kids take turns being in charge
and now we are onto Great Grand kids being Santa. We
always seem to complain about finding time to make time
for this special day but when we are all there all the
craziness of life goes away.

I found a couple of pictures to remember the old days
before sharing the most recent!

There are two Curtis kids who weren't there this

year. Uncle Bill and family are from Nevada and

have come in years past but weren't able to be

here this time. And Uncle Gerry's family wasn't

there either.

All in all this was a great night to get caught up

with everyone, see where they are going, what

degree they are getting (high 5 to Margie's

family and herself), who is expecting, remember

those cool hats Grandma Curt gave them

with their names on, and much more.

This tradition is such an important part of

my husbands life that nothing would keep

us from it. I love family time and look forward

to this tradition continuing!

WORWOOD THANKSGIVING

This year we had Thanksgiving dinner with
the Worwood's the weekend before so we all
could be there. This is the whole family minus
only a couple. We were missing my brother Kyle,
Cousin Jeremy and his boy, Cousin Travis and
his wife, and My cousin Megan's Husband.
We had a great dinner...and look how happy
Grandma is that we were all there!

Halloween 2010

Halloween this year was so many days long at
our home! With so many different school parties
programs, parades, and more we had 4 days
of Halloween!

On Thursday Karson had his Preschool Party and
parade. His teachers husband pulled them on the
tractor for a fun hay ride followed by a parade.
He thought it was pretty cool!

Friday was the annual Fairview Elementary School
Halloween Parade down the Main Street. Our boys
love this parade. Above is Kaleb as a Ninja with his
third grade class. He was having a little trouble
with his mask. Below is Kasey in his Ninja Costume
with his first grade class.

They go North on Main street to Walkers then
turn around and go back South. All the businesses
hand them candy as they go!

That night was the school Carnival. The only
picture we got that night was of Kaylee doing the
cake walk. She was having a hard time understanding
what to do.

Following the carnival we headed home to carve
our pumpkins. This is always my favorite thing
about this Holiday! This was what we looked
forward to when we were little because my
Grandpa Worwood always grew and gave us
our pumpkins!

Kaylee was pretty good help on hers, and Kaleb
has got the routine down packed!

takes him a lot longer. As you can tell by Sam's
expression it sometimes gets a little crazy!

Saturday it was time, finally, to do some

trick-or-treating! We went to Nephi early so

Grandpa and Grandma could see the kids in

their costumes! Grandma always has such

cute and fun decorations so the kids were joined

by a few friendly ghosts!

We had a great Halloween! Even if it lasted

4 days! Halloween Sunday we just rested from

all the craziness!

Deer Hunt 2010

This year for the deer hunt Sam
had a tag for the Southeastern
Unit. We were excited to go looking
for deer until we got to the top of
Fairview Canyon and this is what
we found.....the first HUGE snow
storm of the year! The kids were
not at all excited that mom had to
have a picture!

Then we got to the bottom of Fairview Canyon

and the weather was not at all winter like! So

crazy. We had fun....no deer but lots of memories!

Kaylee and mom waited at the bottom why all the

guys hiked down. It was a good day!

BOYS OF FALL

The boys are totally loving playing flag football this year! They are improving each game and enjoying spending the extra time with their coach, DAD! Kaleb has been trying the quarterback position and now tells us he wants to be a quarterback for BYU someday! Good luck on that one buddy! Kasey is just playing all over. He is a pretty good ball carrier. We worry about them playing on the same team sometimes cause everything just comes natural to Kasey, but not with football. They are both doing really good, and actually work really good together as a team!

Fall Time

I love fall time, especially were we live! Its not
that far to see all the beautiful colors of the
mountains in the fall! After listening to
Conference Saturday we went up Fairview
Canyon to catch one last glimpse of all the colors
of fall!

The kids love to go fishing so why they

fished I tried to capture the reflections

of the season!

it brings me close to home. Here I stand in the

county I live and love, Sanpete, with the county

of my home, Juab, not far off with Mt Nebo in

my sight!

killed in a tragic car accident up Big Cottonwood
Canyon. It took me back to memories at college
and how much fun we had! Carlie was a very
fun, happy, beautiful lady. She never held a
grudge, and always had a joke for us. I met up
with my former roommates and went up to West
Valley the following Wednesday for her funeral.
How blessed am I that I have the knowledge
of life after death and knowing that I will see her
again! Until We meet again Carlie, Rest in Peace!

2 Great Elk Hunts

We had so much fun hunting elk this year!
The Worwood boys were super lucky and not
only did one brother draw but two of them and
they both got amazing elk and made lots of
great memories in the process!

Kevin's bull was a pretty sweet 5 point! The story
that they tell is a pretty good one! Kevin had an
archery tag and Mike called this bull into about
30 yards then all the sudden it started loping
towards Kevin so at 13 yards Kevin dropped it! He
tells us it was out of self defense in order to keep
the bull from doing his business with Kevin who
at that moment sounded like a cow elk, and had
scent biscuit's that made him smell like one to!
No matter the story it was good to get one out
of the way! Kaleb and Kasey and Sam got to hike
down to help get him out! Kasey swears it was
200 miles at least one way, but grandpa's GPS
says 5 1/2 miles round trip!

Mike also got a great bull. He scored himself a
great 6 point with his rifle!

It wasn't too bad of a hike to get to his bull so,
Kaylee, Karson, grandma, and myself even
got to hike to it! Kaylee wasn't real sure about
it but the boys sure were excited!

What a great time we all had and we all made

so many memories. Kaleb got to go out and call

with the older guys and heard for the first time

a elk in the wild bugle back...He is now hooked

and can't wait to hunt one himself! No matter

what we are doing as a family we always have

fun and have good stories to tell!

Sanpete County Fair

We always take part in the Juab County
Fair but my kids are always bumbed out
cause they don't get to do anything
cause they live outside the county....So...
this year we ventured all the way to
Manti for the Sanpete Fair! The kids
had a blast at the parade, doing the fun
on the farm, looking at the exhibits, and
riding sheep...well at least the youngest two
boys enjoyed the sheep.

Kaylee had to be fast to beat Karson to the suckers!

didn't make it too far but he had fun!

Kasey was the first mutton buster out of the

night and he rode the furthest but the guy

that scored must have had his favorites all picked

out.....not too sure how the figured scores but he

had a blast and says he is going to win it next year!

New School Year

So Kaleb and Kasey's real first day of

school picture did not work out so I had

to re-take one! The boys love these shirts

and think it's great to be against each other!

Kaleb is now in third grade and Kasey is in

first! They are growing up super fast.

Wow!!! Karson is in Preschool! He loves school

and is doing great! He was so excited to go and

he wishes he could go everyday not just two

days a week!

Now it is just Kaylee at home! She gets a

little lonely when Karson is at school but it

is fun for the two of us!

Both of my (Marcy) brothers have big bull tags
this year on the Sanpete so we have been out
scouting for them a little. It has been fun to
just take our four wheelers and go in the
mountains as a family!

Summer Camping

Our family loves to camp. We haven't gone much
this summer but we finally were able to go and
have some fun. We camped one night with
the Curtis family at Cleavland Res.

Kasey and Kaleb love all the pop that they get
to drink when camping.

We are totally loving our summer! This past
week we went to the new Manti Pool with
Aunt Katie and her friend Silvia! The kids
loved the pool and it was nice and warm!

Kaylee looks pretty stylin in her floater and
hot pink sunglasses! We usually cant get her to
keep her glasses on but she left them alone
today!

Kaleb loved his snorkle and would not take it off!

Poor Kasey...he loves to show off his cute smile,

we are begining to wonder if his teeth will ever

come back in!

We had a great time! I am not one for pictures in

my bathing suit! But I kept hid behind the kids!

Little Karson....not sure why he looks purple,

but he really enjoyed the water! We can't wait

to go back!

New Niece Hadley Curtis

Kaylee was so excited to see her new cousin! Not

Kaleb's 1st Cub Scout Day Camp

This year Kaleb was able to participate
at Cub Scout Day Camp! He was really
excited to go!

He likes archery but we have decided he is a
little spoiled! His grandpa Worwood has been
letting him use a compound bow and these
re curves were NOT easy for Kaleb...but he
still did good!

be in the outdoors and learn! It's all free and
so much fun for them!

Little Miss Kaylee

Kaylee is getting so big and she is

so much fun! She loves to tease

everyone and she is always

smiling! She started to go to the

nursery even though she is not quite

old enough yet! She only cries till the

door shuts and she can't see us... I

think it's her way of making us not

feel so bad that she doesn't care we

are leaving! She loves to be outside

and play with her brothers! She is

so special and we know our family

would not be complete without her!

Memorial Weekend

For Memorial Weekend we split 2 days with the
Worwood's and 2 days with the Curtis'! We
got to spend some time up to the Worwood
property at the first of the weekend!

After Uncle Kevin had already been into the
"Bear Cave" to make sure the bear wasn't in
it, him and his friends stuck Karson down in it!

This is Kevin, his girlfriend Tacia, his friend Matt,
Kaleb and Karson at the top of the rock quarry~

The family brought a swing set up to the
property and the kids loved it! Kaylee
wouldn't stay off of it!

This is our cute little Nephew
Waylon, he is Mike and Kensey's,
He was showing me the worm he
had caught.

Then we took Monday and went with
the Curtis' back to Maple Canyon!
We hiked to the "BIG CAVE" which
was a long but fun hike. Grandma and
Grandpa, and Uncle Wes and soon to
be Aunt Haylee went with us!

Kaylee enjoyed the cookies!

Kaleb tried to climb up to go in the cave, but
it was pretty hard! Uncle Wes was the only
one who made it up there! He took some
pictures from the cave!

We had a great 4 day weekend! What a way
to kick off the summer!

FAIRVIEW DANCE REVIEW

It was dance Review Time in Fairview! Kasey was pretty excited to do his dance and show us his mean Holla Hooping (spelling) skills. Kaleb on the other hand was trying to talk us into letting him break his leg so he wouldn't have to dance! They both did such a great job!

Kasey was kind of sad he was all done with Kindergarten. He loved his teacher Mrs. Christensen! He wanted his picture with her so he would never forget her...funny thing is...her daughter plays on our t-ball team...He will see her all the time! KIDS....got to love em'

including my husband I really enjoyed

Hiking Maple Canyon

This past weekend we went up Maple
Canyon by Ft. Green and did some hiking!
Our first hike was up "Box Canyon"

It was a fun hike that led us through some
places where we had to climb and shimmy
through and over some rocks!

Kaylee actually did pretty good!

Grandma Curt actually stayed back

a little ways from the end with Kaylee.

One of the last rocks to climb over

was a little rough and Grandma

was more then happy to stay back!

But above are the rest of us at the end

of Box Canyon!

Getting back down was a little tougher on the

kids but they still did amazing!

Kaylee was such a good sport the whole way!

She never cried or fused!

Probably cause she wasn't the one walking!

After a little lunch we hiked to the Arch. The sign

said it
was only 0.5 miles but we all beg to differ! It was

a rougher, longer, steeper, but still good!

Even grandpa Curt made it to the end of this one!

Laura snapped this picture of us after our long

hike! The rock Kasey is holding was shaped like

a heart and he wanted to bring it home with him

but nobody wanted to pack it so we took a

picture instead!

and two nice ladies helped take it! We all had a

great day and are looking forward to our next

adventure! But there were some of us who might

not want to hike as far next time! ;)

Scipio Petting Zoo

On mothers day weekend we went to Scipio to
celebrate mothers day and grandpa Thatchers
birthday! We lucked out and it was the opening
of the new petting zoo!

The kids totaly loved it! Each kid got an ice cream
cone with some food for the animals in it! We walked
around and the kids played with the little goats, sheep,
pigs, bunnies, ponies, and many more!

The boys were supper excited to see a small car

show also going on! This was their favorite one!

Of course our boys are ALL about ARMY!

It's Great to be 8

Kaleb was baptized on May 1st by his

dad! It was a very special day and we

are so very rpoud of him for the choices

he has made and for the example he is

to his brothers and sister! We had lots

of family come to support Kaleb!

Uncle Kyle, Uncle Kevin and Uncle Jared

all gave him some great advice with the

talks that they shared with him!

Our family is getting so big and we

are so lucky to have such a special

boy like Kaleb in our family!

Thanks so much for those who were

able to be here on this special day! It

State Wrestling Tournament

Kasey did a great job this year in Wrestling! He
won a lot of his matches but lost right before
the medal round! Hopefully next year he can
medal!

Kaleb placed fourth this year in the state tournament!
He had a good year!

We are so proud of the boys and how
well they wrestled this year! They also
do very good with sprortsmanship...(their
mom needs a little practice in that area)
We are already lookin forward to next year!

Cedar City Trip

We went to Cedar City for the boys State
Wrestling Tournament! We had fun and
it turned into being a good family vacation!
We took some time to go swimming!

We learned that our boys definatly need swimming
lessons! They were all a little scared of the water!

Kaylee found herself a new little friend
at the Hotel! She loved the mirror and
talked to herself and played with it for
a long time.

On our way down we made a pit stop at Cove
Fort! The boys loved the fort! It was a good
place to stop!

makes me (Marcy) feel old! He is so special to

So....it's a new year! Thank goodness. We can just mark down 2009 as a year of many lessons learned, becoming stronger people and a stronger family, but now lets put it behind us! We as a family know this year is going to be one of the best as a family! As for resolutions...Sam and I both are looking forward to going to the gym, getting in shape, and loosing weight! I am probably more excited about the weight thing cause we made a deal. If I can loose 15 pounds by Easter...I get to take Kaylee to pierce her ears! But all in all we are just hoping for a better year! We wish everyone the best year in 2010! May all of us keep or resolutions...be closer to family...be closer to our Savior...and just have a great year!

Karson was super excited for the snow
to fall this last week. He wouldn't even

Sam got his deer, even though he's not

Sam and I got to go out together to hunt his

deer this year. He shot it and then we drug

it out. It was a long drag but the jerky was

good that we made out of it!
